Homasote DesignWall 440 is ASP's only STC-rated product, built for jobs that need real sound blocking as well as a tackable, decorative wall finish. Standard fabric-wrapped acoustic panels are rated for absorption (NRC), not sound transmission.
Construction is different from a standard panel on purpose: a Homasote sheet cut to size and fabric-wrapped, with no wood frame and no fiberglass core. That makes it a mass-based barrier plus a tackable, pinnable surface, rather than an absorption panel. Fabric options include both Guilford of Maine and Burch Fabrics Prime Time.
